Site Remediation

If petroleum contamination is discovered, cleanup of the petroleum contamination may be needed, depending on the severity. Filco uses several methods to clean up petroleum contaminated soil including digging the material out and replacing it with clean material.  Another method is to inject the ground with oil eating microbes which is effective in some oil conditions. We are able to assist you with possible insurance coverage for the cost of cleanups including Homeowners Insurance and State of Washington Pollution Liability Insurance Agency.

If a discharge of heating oil or any other hazardous material contaminates the soil, the soil must be remediated or "cleaned up" to bring the site back into compliance with the applicable environmental standard. We take soil samples from the excavation and send them to a fully accredited analytical laboratory for test results.
